Fly!

Aloha!

Hope everyone has had a FAB weekend and has a super duper awesome week!

I'm a bit excited today as we are popping down to perth to visit my mum while hubby does some training.

And if you're reading this Shazzy, Zoe & Sophie...big squishy hugs and loves to you xox

Righto.....I have a scrappy share today. This is a just cos layout.
I've been having a play with the Kaisercraft "Save the Date" range. Usually I'm not super keen on really "themed" ranges, but this one really caught my eye. The colours are fab and all the embellishments & stickers etc that come with the range are super cute.

I'm really loving layering pennant/banners at the moment...as well as loving "splats" on my page. I've had a couple people ask how to do them, my2angels has a tutorial HERE on how to do them : )

How cute are these cabochons over the save the date heart rubons!

Layers, layers , layers........

Here is a list of products I used:

- Kaisercraft "Save The Date" Papers, Aplha Stickers, Rubons Stickers & Pennant/Banners.
-Distress Stain in "Mustard Seed" for splats.
-Glimmer Glaze in "Oil Slick" for black paint splatters.
-Glimmer Glam in "mermaid" for stamped circles.
- Manila tag.
-Scrapware "ATC Frame". Which I painted with white paint and doodled on.
-White scalloped edge felt frame.
-Transparent glass Cabochons.
-Black and White spotted acrylic button.
-Small holed red acrylic button.
-Staz on ink pad in Jet black.
-Baker's Twine in Teal & White.
-Tim holtz paper rosette die.
-black cotton thread.
-black pilot permaball pen.
-Chevron washi tape.

Well I best be getting back to packing!

Thankyou so much for having a peek at my blog

STB-November

Another day.....Another scrappy challenge to share!

It's been so very long since I've played along at Scrap the Boys. I'm a big fan of their fun and funky challenges! I so totally loved playing along with the november challenge, I will endeavour to play along again next month!

Sooooooo the November challenge is a colour challenge:

Here is what I came up with:

A close-up (I always save funky labels and tags....they are fab for scrapping):

Another close-up. I'm loving using sewing thread.....adds an awesome texture to the page, but is more subtle than twine.

Well since I put off all the chores yesterday.....I best get them done today. The quicker I finish....the sooner I can get scrapping again!

Thanks for visiting my blog :D

OUAS - November Challenge

Hello lovely bloggy visitors!

After a huge year of markets I've had hardly anytime for scrapping, now that the market season is over, I'm crossing my fingers and toes that I get to catch up on all things scrappy!

I so enjoyed last months Once Upon a Sketch Challenge, that I've played along again this month. Man the DT is super inspiring.

The sketch for this month is:
I have rotated and flipped it

The theme for this month is: Anything Goes!

I really wanted to do a layout about the markets I have been doing this year as they have meant so much to me.
I've used lot's of Sassafras Lass (which I'm trying not to hoard), as well as some October afternoon. I got the most of the flowers from Caramelos on etsy.

A close-up of all the flowers, which I don't often use so I really enjoyed creating this layout!

Another close up. The photo is mounted on a SMASH calendar pocket, I have written the journalling on journalling block, and have tucked it into the pocket. The journalling reads: "I cannot express what being able to participate in this year's west end markets has meant for me. I have gained confidence, a renewed sense of self & positive self esteem. As well as a whole bunch of beautiful souls I am blessed to call my friends. I'm so thankful for this experience".

Well I have so much chores to do, but I'm thinking I might just get into some more scrapping!

Thankyou so much for visiting my blog!

OUAS October Challenge

Hey hey hey!

I don't wanna freak anyone out.....but I've got another scrappy share.......that makes it TWICE in one week.....crazy I know......

Soooooo as a regular stalker of the Once Upon a Sketch blog I thought it's about time I actually played along! I absolutely love the challenges and am always amazed at what the super awesome dt comes up with.....so inspiring!

The challenge for October has a theme:

and a sketch:

I took the theme literally and scrapped a photo of a camera I have and LOVE! I CANNOT get enough of Amy Tangerine and Basic Grey at the moment....yum yum yum!

The journalling is written on the brown kraft tag and tucked into the chevron paper bag(from the Greatest View on Etsy).
It reads: "I was super thrilled to win a voucher to the gallery shop for having the best market stall. I finally got to purchase this awesome "Diana" lomography camera I'd been eyeing off for ages".

I love these little wooden hearts from kaisercraft.....I just coloured them in with a posca paint pen then doodled on them : )

Thanks so much for taking the time to have a squizz at my blog!!

Just Kraft it Up Baby!

Sooooooo I've played along with Kraft It Up this month : )

The challenge was just AWESOME.....Kraft Card (duh), Layers (WAHOO) & this sketch:

They had me at LAYERS!

The past year or so I've trying out so many different scrappy styles.....but you know what the style I feel most "me" with and what I love to do the most is just layering a whole bunch of random (I mean carefully thought out...ahem) bits & bobs and hoping it turns out for the best....

Excuse the not so awesome layout photo....took it late in the afternoon cos I was to lazy (Ummm I mean busy...) to take it earlier!

Oh and I've recently got my greedy little hands on the Basic Grey "Clippings" range. Well played Basic Grey....WELL played.......it's all sorts of AWESOME!!

Anyhoo without further ado.....my layout......

And just because I'm feeling generous....here's a close-up.....

Thanks for stopping by my wee blog!

The Color Room

Heya Lovely Ladies : )

I've got another scrappy share for this week!

I've decided to have a go at The Color Room. I haven't done a challenge there for aaaaaaaaages. I think I get daunted by the palettes in all of their shabby, floral, arty goodness.....BUT I'm throwing caution to the wind and going with The Color Room's motto and pushing my creativity right out of it's comfort zone .

Here is the palette:

And here is what I came up with:

Thanks for having a goosey gander at my blog!!!

A New Challenge : )

Hi there folks : )

I've actually done a challenge.....CRAZY I know.....

I'm a bit of a sucker for a sketch, and when I saw this one on the my2angels blog I couldn't resist!!

Here is what I came up with...believe it or not I've actually used the bo bunny "Country Garden" range for this layout.....

I LOVE my posca paint pens they are perfect for colouring embellishments! On this layout I've used them to colour a white mulberry paper butterfly &  a floral wooden button (these buttons are so fab to alter). I've also used them to do lots of doodling on my page.

I've coloured the cardboard & a white resin cabochon flower with a paint dabber in raspberry. I'm still totally loving the spotty acrylic buttons coloured daisy charms & scalloped edge felt frame.

Other bits & bobs I've used on this layout are pink 2cm mulberry flower, black cotton lace, kraft tag, dark pink acrylic buttons, jenny bowlin memo note book, crafter's workshop template "art is", baker's twine & white frame rub on.

Thankyou so much for checking out my blog!
