Want HANDMADE Embellishments??

Hiya Peeps : )

I really wanted to let you guys know about my2angels new kit club.....Before you read about it I want to tell you this.....Tracy (who will be making the embellishments) is EXTREMELY fussy when it comes to making products for her store....she has an AWESOME attention to detail....I know this because I've seen her work irl and I LOVE using her handmade embellishments!!!

Do you find yourself admiring the embellishments you see on online layouts and wonder how they find the time, creativity and money to produce them?
Does your budget not allow you to buy all the mediums and products you want?

Are you a bit afraid to spend so much on a product you may not use again?
Or maybe time just doesn’t allow you to create as often as you would like?

We have put together a monthly embellishment kit for you that will wet your appetite for new products and perhaps encourage you to try something a little different.

Each month we will send you my2angels embellishments and handmade creations, in which I can guarantee there will be a touch of Tim, a dash of charm and some altered chipboard to add to your creations.

A small sample of what to expect in your August Kit

This kit is about saving you from the expense of purchasing a myriad of expensive embellishment mediums, yet still allowing you to enjoy handmade embellishments using these mediums.

It’s also enabling you to ‘sample’ some of the top Brand name-embellishments – without the expense of purchasing large multi-item packs. This way, you can play with a little of everything, rather than a lot of one thing.

In fact, in some ways, this embellishment subscription kit could be called a sampler pack – allowing you to view used results with the products for a fraction of their cost - and decide if you would like to then purchase in larger quantities

For only $55 per quarter - paid in advance (this includes postage) - you will receive 3 kits (that’s 1 per month) sent on the 20th of each month.

That’s amazing value – all that yumminess and creativity -for less than $19 a month (average kit RRP $30.00)

No two handmade embellishments will be identical, thus giving you the ultimately unique embellishment kit.

You may cancel your quarterly membership at any time, however, we request that you do so with at least a months notice before the start of the next quarter, as kits are prepared and products ordered in advance.

AS A SPECIAL OPENING OFFER (AND TO GIVE YOU THE OPPORTUNITY TO SEE WHAT WE ARE OFFERING) WITHOUT COMMITTING FOR 3 MONTHS

WE HAVE ON OFFER A ONE MONTH SUBSCRIPTION ONLY FOR AUGUST ...

TRY US ... WE GUARANTEE YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED WITH THE QUALITY AND QUANTITY OF PRODUCTS IN THE KITS

C'mon guys....give my2angels a try....YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT!!!!!

Ravishing Ric Rac : )

Well Hello there my GORGEOUS Bloggin' Buddies!

Sooooo I have some ric rac goodness for you today.....

It's Ribbon week at the AWESOME my2angels......and there is LOTS to show you on the Blog

Now I think ric rac is one of those things that we don't use enough.....

It doesn't have to be the main player, or focal point on your page.....but it's so fab for adding texture and layers....

Sooooo I have 2 layouts to show you guys....

I tied a knot in the ric rac.....just like you would with ribbon and stapled it on....

More stapling.....

Ok on to the second lo.....On this lo I've used a mix of Sassafras Lass papers & stickers, Woodgrain Hambly Transparency, Red Velvet Ric Rac, Red Twine, Scrapware Penny Farthing Chippy, Glimmer Glaze - Cowboy (on chippy, alphas & splats on page).....I've also used some FAB chicken wire that Tracy will have in the shop soon!

I have stitched the ric rac on the patterned paper & also stapled some on the banner....It adds texture aswell as depth to the layers....

Also used a little to accent the top of the page and balance it out...love the juxtaposition of the soft velvet ric rac with the hard metal wire & staples....

And there you have it folks....adding a little bit of something extra to your pages with Ric Rac....

Polka Dot Place Fun : )

Hey Hey Hey : )

How goes everyone on this fine Sunday?

I decided to sit down last night and do a scrappy challenge.....I REALLY love scrappy challenges and need to make time for more!

So I decided to do Miss Jodie B's challenge at The Boxx

I decided to use The Polkadot Place - Emerald Creek Kit as it just had all the colours and embellies I felt like using...all there in a pizza box...how bloomin convenient So the challenge is a recipe:

1. An IMPERFECT photo(s)...one that you probably wouldn't of scrapped because it's blurry or not composed right etc etc...
2. A mixed alpha title (at least TWO different alphabets)
3. A ribbon or fabric bow.
4. Ink or paint splatters.
5. Something yellow (could be cardstock, PP, alphas, flowers etc etc...)

And here is what I came up with....

Yup a pic of batman's bottom.....

Thanks for having a wee sticky beak at my blog : )

This is how I do it : )

Happy Friday Ladies : )

Question:

Do you guys ever look at layout's and think.....how does that person create the way they do? I do alot.....
Sooooooo I thought I'd do a post on how I create and whats goes into my layout's.....they may look crazy and odd and well a bit messy....but I do try hard when I'm scrapping....honest : )

Before I do anything I choose a photo, I mostly scrap with one photo...don't know why just do.....
Then I decide on colours....I then go through my stash and choose papers in those colours aswell as some embellies.....

I dump it all on my scrappy desk....grab some cardstock.....which is mostly either white or kraft....and start creating : )

Here's the lo......

I always tend to cut a piece of patterned paper down a bit so it's a bit smaller than the cardstock.....then i can't just stick it on I HAVE to stitch it on...it's a compulsion.....I love using coloured cotton too!

Now the background was looking a wee bit busy soooooo I painted over it with some Gesso (this primes the paper so that when adding other mediums over the top of the gesso they don't absorb into the paper) at this point I splat paint, or mist, or do a mask on my page.....

On this page I used:

Dabbed over the top with a Wild Honey Distress Stain

I then patted over the mask with some paper tower to remove the excess stain....and Voila! A cool background!

After messing up the background a bit I then start layering papers....I tend to always do a rectangle or square with paper/corrugated card/ribbons/fabric etc going across it horizontally....

So I place them on my lo until it looks awesome....

Then it's embellishment time : )

On this lo I did a big cluster of flowers...

For the 2 Biggest flowers I used this AWESOME Tattered Floral Die

I cut a combination of Prima Reflections pp & brown wrapping paper with the die. I layered the wrapping paper for one flower. Then used the pp aswell as 4 Green Felt Hearts.......Which I stuck on a little square of paper as the petals to make a Flower shape...then layered the pp over.....

I finished of both flowers with a Websters Pages Yacht Club Button....

For the little layered scalloped edge paper flowers...I used a die on some more Prima Paper.....swiped over with the Wild Honey Stain.....then fixed with a glitter brad.

I also doodled on Scrapware Flourishes.....

Then I use my Acrylic Paint Dabber in Snow Cap White

To alter a couple of these Acrylic Gold & Silver Cabachons

Okkkkkkkkay.....Ya still with me??

So Finally I grabbed a couple of these GORGEOUS Yellow Roses

And a White Gardenia (Which I brushed over with the Wild Honey Stain)

I Then Brushed over all the flowes with my Paint Dabber (Snow cap White)

Then I fiddle with all my pp's & embellishments until it looks right....then I stick it down!

Lastly I place my title on the page.....I LOVE to stich it on the page because it gives my page texture AND it keeps those sneaky alphas from coming off of the page!

And there you have it.........a Jess page : )

Love and Peace xox

PS: ALL products used are from the FABULOUS my2angels....who are having a neato sale on at the moment on all glimmermists, embossing powders & Prima & Websters papers!!

The Dude has Tude....

Hey there FABULOUS Ladies : )
I thought I would share this lo today....

Want to make a fab chippy title??

Wait till the paint has dried...lightly sand around the edges.....then doodle on them with an Inkssentials White Opaque Pen

Place on your page......then stitch on with a funky coloured thread....and VOILA!! A fun title....

How funky is this star as the center of the folded flower??

LIGHTLY dabbed on some Distress Stain

Then dab the stained side of the star with paper towel until excess stain is removed.....and there ya have it a funky coloured star : )

Thanks so much for having a squizz at my blog!
