CSI Case File # 98 - Quiet Time

Heya Lovely Ladies :)

Today I have CSI case file # 98 to share with you!

Wow what a challenge this case file was. Mostly because I only had one, yes ONE, piece of purple patterned paper in my whole stash! Thank goodness for my purple pumpkin goodies, they are so great for adding pops of colour to my layouts! I thought I would really not like scrapping with purple, but I totally did :) Once again I've gone way out of my comfort zone and found I really quite enjoyed it!

Lulu the Owl - Canvas

Heya awesome bloggy readers!!!

Today I have a canvas to share with you. I LOVE painting, it is one of my most favourite things to do!

I haven't shared any paintings here for awhile, I'm not sure why? Anyhoo I thought I'd be brave and try and share more.

I was so very lucky to have been gifted Juliette Cranes "How to paint an owl" class. It has REALLY helped me one into a more freeing style of painting......really just using my fingers mostly and letting the art just flow :) You can find her class HERE (it's worth every penny). Her style is amazing, so organic and whimsical!

Anyhoo here is my first attempt at an owl:

Her name is Lulu.....she suits it don't you think?

CSI Scrap 365 Case File #2 - I heart vintage books

Hey Hey Hey :)

I hope you are having a FANTASTIC weekend!

CSI had teamed up with Scrap365 magazine for some special case files! I have finally gotten around to playing along with one of them.

When I first saw the colour combo, I must admit, I really didn't think I could work with them. But once again I've realised getting out of my comfort zone results in lot's of scrappy fun AND I found out I really love working with those colours!!
