Scrappy Share!!

Oh MY GOODNESS me......I have been a rather slack blogger indeed!! Actually I've had a nice little break, but am happy to get back into the swing of things.

I hope everybody has had an AWESOME Christmas and New Years and I hope and Pray 2012 brings ya'll Love and Peace and Happiness!!!!

Righto on to a scrappy share : )

The VERY generous Tracy from my2angels has sent me yet another package full of gorgeous goodies. So OBVIOUSLY I had to have a play.....

Oh and it is my mission this year to use up my giant stash of papers especially my hoards of Sassafras Lass and Hambly!

I have used a combination of papers on this layout they are: Hambly Screen Prints, Simple Stories 25 Days of Christmas, Sassafras Lass Starters & Ellie's Tale as well as Kraft card stock. The alphas are from the Simple Stories 25 Days of Christmas range.

For the paint splats I used my FAVE splatter product ever, Oil Slick Glimmer Glam, It gives to best round splats ever, they are shiny and a little bit raised as well which adds texture : )

How COOLIO is the huge 15cm Mulberry flower??? They are my new FAVE product (well one of hehe). I coloured this one with a Distress Stain in Mustard Seed.
I've layered a Sassafras Lass foldie along with a Large Black Rose, 2cm White rose and Yellow Rose. The leaves are the gorgeous new Antique Silver Leaf Charms that I have painted with Oil Slick Glimmer Glam. I've also layered a Small Holed Yellow Acrylic Button.

More layering! I've done some stitching with baker's twine.......is there no end to the uses of this amazing product!! Ive also layered a Large Holed Yellow Acrylic Button, 2cm White Rose and a Yellow Rose.

Soooooo there you have it, my first scrappy share for 2012....better late than never right??

Hopefully I will be back soon with another share......now I've started getting into my my2angels goodies I think there will be no stopping me!!!!

Layouts x 2

Hey there GORGEOUS bloggy buddies : )

Remember when I told ya'll about Bo Bunny - Enchanted at my2angels?
Well I got sent some from Tracy, man I am one very spoilt dt angel!!!!

This paper range is so very versatile. It just screams out for you to add colour! It's a great range to add  stickers, alphas, journalling blocks etc that you've got leftover from other paper ranges as well.
For my first layout I added yellow....gotta love yellow, black & white combo......

For the background I spread gesso on the paper with an old credit card then used the inkssentials blending tool with Tim Holtz distress ink - mustard seed over the Crafter's workshop - swiss dot template.....if you haven't got any Crafter's Workshop templates......GET YOURSELF SOME!!!!! They are awesome! You can use all sorts of mediums on them; sprays, inks, stains, paint dabbers, texture paste.....the list goes on.....

A cute small heart locket charm which I tucked under the paper rosette flower. The flower is made with the Sizzix Sizzlits Decorative Strip Die By Tim Holtz, I attached a large yellow acrylic button to the centre with charcoal bakers twine. Instead of using twine for making swirly whirly loops on my page I thought I'd try something different, so I used the black acrylic chain with rhinestones, it suits the glitter accents of the paper range.

Here I've used a black scroll felt heart layered over a small yellow acrylic button and a white with yellow centre mulberry flower. The tag is made with a manila tag, which I stamped with clear ink, then embossed with Zing clear embossing powder. I then coloured the whole tag with Tim Holtz distress stain - mustard seed, make sure to pat the tag with paper tower after using the distress stain, the stamping will show through even better.

Ok next up is layout number 2. I've used another fave colour combo, red, white & black.
I created the "circles" by cutting a large and small circle out of old card stock to use as a mask. I dabbed around the edge of the mask with Tim Holtz distress stain - fired brick, just remember the harder you "dab" the distress stain down, the more ink comes out, which means bigger "splats". The red layer under the photo is made with Tim Holtz kraft core - No.3, which I embossed with a cuttlebug embossing folder - tiny bubbles, which I lightly sanded. The paper "tabs" are made using the Sissix on the edge die.

I cut the "small" side off a black felt scroll frame, and layered it over paper and a scrapware square bracket notebook chippy. I attached a large red acrylic button with charcoal bakers twine & added a butterfly (I layered three on top of each other) which I blinged up with some red pearls

As this layout is about my gorgeous little man being a gift to us, I made a gift bow style flower to go with the theme. I made the bow with Tim Holtz film strip ribbon, a small red acrylic button and some charcoal bakers twine.

I SO love these ladybug charms!

And there you have it folks.....a wee bit of Bo Bunny - Enchanted : )

I hope everyone is having an awesome Chrissy season!!!

So Excited....

Sooooooo as we all know, it's getting to that time of the year again.....CHRISTMAS!!! And yes I have a Christmassy layout to share with you.....
Instead of doing a layout with a photo from Christmas day I decided to use a cute non-chrissy photo and scrap about how excited Elijah is about Christmas this year.

This year he is finally old enough to kinda understand what it's all about. He's thrilled to bit's at the idea of Santa coming to deliver him pressies. Every morning he asks "Is it Christmas today mum?" lol

I've been playing with the GORGEOUS Simple Stories 25 Days of Christmas collection pack.
I reallllllllly love this collection.....it's jam packed with so much goodness, LOVE the houndstooth print thats carried on throughout the collection.....gives it a cool edge.

Tracy has been making all sorts of GORGEOUS chains. She puts in so much time and effort making the most fab embellishments!
I was lucky enough to be sent a few and on this layout I have used the Merry Christmas 2011 Charming Chain. Seriously go check out all her awesome creations HERE.

FABULOUS products used: ALL available at my2angels.
Paper,Stickers & Alphas: Simple Stories 25 days Of Christmas collection.
Felt Border: White Scalloped edge felt frame (which I cut a long side of to create a scalloped border).

What kind of Christmas layouts will you do this year???
